NOTE- MARCH 15, 2020:

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Plymouth Church is suspending all group activities and gym usage at the building. The length of the hiatus is not yet determined, but is anticipated to be a minimum of 2 weeks. During this time, Caliburn will hold no practices or classes.

I will notify everyone when the end of the hiatus is determined.

For participants in the beginners and intermediate classes, depending on the length of the hiatus we will either:

-Extend the current class sessions into the month of May to allow all classes to meet, adjusting the start of the summer session classes in June if needed.

or

-Roll all participants of the current classes into the summer class sessions.

Update May 20, 2020:

The City of Milwaukee health order is still in effect, and an end date has not yet been announced. Additionally, once the City health order is lifted Plymouth Church will need to determine when gym activities at the facility will resume. The start dates for summer classes have been tentatively pushed out to the third week of June. Participants in the canceled spring classes can be rolled into the summer or fall classes.

Update June 11, 2020:

While the City of Milwaukee Health order is now undergoing a phased lifting, Plymouth Church is still evaluating the schedule for re-opening the building. Since many different groups of a wide range of ages, including young children and senior citizens, make use of the building the church is taking a cautious approach. Gym activities will not resume during the month of June. Start of summer classes has been tentatively pushed out to the second week of July.

Update July 3, 2020:

The most recent update I have received from Plymouth Church is that the building (including the gym) will not be reopening in time for the rescheduled summer classes to begin. Since this will not leave enough time for the courses to run before the scheduled start of the fall classes, I will be cancelling the summer classes. All people currently enrolled will be rolled into the fall class sessions. Should the gym reopen later in the summer, open practice and individual or small-group lessons will be available until the next session of group classes. Depending on how the fall tournament schedule looks, we may be able to offer a Saturday Novice class in the first half of fall.

Update August 24, 2020:

It will still be a couple of months until Plymouth Church is ready to reopen for any group activities, so the early fall classes will have to be cancelled. The next scheduled classes will be the late fall sessions, starting the week of October 26th. As before, all people currently enrolled will be rolled into the fall class sessions. Should the gym reopen later in the summer, open practice and individual or small-group lessons will be available until the next session of group classes. In the event that the gym can be reopened prior to those dates, the club will start meeting for open practice and individual instruction before the scheduled class sessions.

Update October 21, 2020

With the resurgence in Covid cases over the last month, Plymouth Church will be closed to group activities through the remainder of the year. As a result, the late fall classes will be cancelled. The next scheduled classes for now will be the winter classes starting the first week of January, 2021. As before, all people currently enrolled will be rolled into the next class sessions. In the event that the gym can be reopened prior to those dates, the club will start meeting for open practice and individual instruction before the scheduled class sessions.

Update December 22, 2020

The hiatus on gym use will continue into the first part of 2021, so the class sessions starting in January are cancelled. Plymouth Church will be looking at a schedule for reopening towards the spring, taking into account vaccine availability and Covid case rates. As before, all people currently enrolled will be rolled into the next class sessions. In the event that the gym can be reopened prior to those dates, the club will start meeting for open practice and individual instruction before the scheduled class sessions.

Update February 23, 2021

The gym at Plymouth will continue to be closed until at least the start of the summer. The spring class sessions will be cancelled as a result. As before, all people currently enrolled will be rolled into the next class sessions. In the event that the gym can be reopened prior to those dates, the club will start meeting for open practice and individual instruction before the scheduled class sessions.

Update May 23, 2021

Plymouth Church is still evaluating how to adjust reopening plans in response to the updated CDC guidelines and the lifting of the City of Milwaukee COVID measures at the start of June. The tentative start date for the summer classes and practice will be pushed back to the third week of June (the week of June 13th). I will provide further updates as soon as I have them.

Update June 6, 2021
The Plymouth Church re-opening committee will be holding their next meeting on June 15 to consider updates to their re-opening schedule. Tentative start dates for the summer classes are being pushed back to the last week of June. Should there be any further delays the full 8-week summer classes will likely have to be cancelled, with the next 8-week class sessions starting in September. If the gym can re-open later in the summer we may schedule some shortened class sessions as well as open practice.
